What is shortening ?

I live in the UK and have never heard of shortening do u know of another name that it might go under in the UK,thanks Nic

Hi Nic,

In Australia shortening is known as Copha, so it could be the same in the UK. If you can't find it, you can totally replace any shortening with butter.
