What Kind Of Filling For a Chocolate Fudge Cake?

by Carrie
(Vancouver,BC)

I made a fudge chocolate cake with hazelnut butter cream filling. I want to know what king of icing to use. The butter cream is rich and i don't want the cake to be too sweet.

From the editor:

Hi Carrie,

I would recommend a cream cheese frosting for your cake. Try the recipe we have here on the site, or use your favorite. The slight tang of the cream cheese will balance all that sweetness nicely and chocolate and cream cheese is a fabulous combination.
