when do you take the cake out of the oven?

When the cake is done (toothpick comes out clean) do you let it cool inside the oven after turning it off or you have to take it out at once?

If you leave it in the oven, even with the door open, it will continue to bake and you'll end up with a dry cake.

Take your cake out of the oven as soon as the toothpick comes out clean. Leave the cake in the pan and cool it on a rack for 15 minutes, then turn it out of the pan, on to the rack, to cool completely.
