when to add ganache to extra rich chocolate buttercream

when making this recipe do you have to let the ganache cool for a couple of hrs like it calls for in the whippped ganache recipe or do you just add it right in?

From the editor:

Hi Janelle,

Ideally, let the ganache set up before you add it to the buttercream. You can either refrigerate for a few hours or, if you're in a hurry, freeze for 30 minutes or so.

Either way, stir to spreading consistency before adding to the buttercream.

Michelle (editor)
