Where should my buttercream filling sit?

I am planning on making a cake but would like to prepare and have the buttercream filling ready one day and the next day bake the cake and assemble it all together. Should the filling sit in a cool room for that long or should i refrigerate it over night?

Hi Rosa,

You should keep the buttercream in the refrigerator overnight, then take it our about an hour before you want to assemble the cake the following day.
