white cake and fondant

Is white cake okay to cover with fondant?

From the editor:

You can cover almost any kind of cake with fondant, including white cake.

The only type of cake I wouldn't recommend covering with fondant is Angel Food Cake since it's structure wouldn't hold up under the weight of the fondant.

If you're planning on doing a multi-tiered white cake, be sure to add cake circles and dowels between each tier, to support the structure and the weight of the fondant.
