Will chocolate decorations hold up in the heat?

hi, I am doing a chocolate cake, but I want it to be something different.

I was thinking of doing butterflies with chocolate. have cut out picture of butterflies and i drawn them on grease proof paper and put chocolate on the lines of the shape of the butterflies, but the cake has to be left in a tent of about 5 hours in the heat with loads of people walking in and out of the tent.

So I want to know, how would you keep the chocolate hard and not melt?

Thank-you!

From the editor:

Hi Brenda,

The best kind of chocolate to use for decorations, like your butterflies, would be candy melts. These are small disks of candy makers chocolate that hold up better in heat than regular chocolate. You can find them at any cake decorating store or order on-line.
