will fondant decorations stick to store bought frosting?

Will decorations made from fondant stick to a cake covered in just store bought icing and not fondant?

Hi Kendra,

Yes, they will. Just don't add the decorations more than 12-24 hours ahead of time, since the frosting will start to soften and dissolve the fondant.

You can use a little extra frosting on the back of fondant decorations to 'glue' them to the cake.
