Wrestling Cake

This Wrestling Cake is a 15" Chocolate cake covered in Buttercream icing. The mat and the posts are modelling Chocolate. The Figurines handmade by myself out of fondant.

This was a birthday cake for my brother in-law's nephew. Little Owen goes gaga over Wrestling and wanted a wrestling cake. His mom asked me to make the cake and to please include Owen's two favourite wrestling stars. I wanted to use the toy figurines but couldn't find the two he wanted, so i decided to be creative.

Everything turned out okay, but then I had to deliver the cake. It was a hot sunny day!!!!!! while transporting the cake, the chocolate posts started melting and the whole ring fell apart. When we finally arrived at the party I had to re-make the ring. Well needless to say I was not toooooooooooo happy!!!!!!! I fixed the ring and the kids went crazy over the cake!!! a very successful cake at the end of the day!

From the editor:

Awesome job Esmarelda. I'm sorry you had to re-make parts of the cake. Thanks so much for sharing your cake with us.

Regards,

Michelle (editor)
